My new Kindle book, Beyond Japanese Stocks, is now available on the Kindle Store.
This book is not just about investing.
It is about freedom.
In Japan, many people are taught to stay inside familiar systems.
Familiar companies.
Familiar rules.
Familiar platforms.
Familiar ways of thinking.
Even when they invest, many people still look for something familiar.
Japanese companies.
Shareholder benefit coupons.
Popular rankings.
Television recommendations.
“What everyone else is buying.”
But I began to feel something strange.
Why does investing have to feel so limited?
Why do I need to buy 100 shares just to enter?
Why are so many people excited about small coupons instead of thinking like owners?
Why is familiarity treated as safety?
The more I learned about investing, the more I realized that investing is not only about numbers.
It is also about mindset.
For me, U.S. stocks opened a different door.
I could buy one share.
I could study global companies.
I could read information directly in English.
I could think about growth, ownership, business models, and long-term value.
Most importantly, I could choose.
That choice mattered to me.
As a Japanese teacher living in Japan, I have spent many years observing systems that quietly shape people’s behavior.
School systems.
Workplace culture.
Social pressure.
Invisible rules.
The habit of following the crowd.
Investing is not separated from these things.
The way people invest often reflects the way they live.
Some people want comfort.
Some people want approval.
Some people want coupons.
Some people want freedom.
I wrote Beyond Japanese Stocks because I wanted to explain why I personally stepped outside the familiar Japanese stock market mindset and began looking at investing from a wider perspective.
This book is not financial advice.
It is a personal essay from someone who questions systems, observes behavior, and chooses freedom over familiarity.
If you are interested in Japanese society, investing culture, or the mindset behind financial choices, this book may give you a different perspective.
Beyond Japanese Stocks is now available on Kindle.
Sometimes, going beyond the familiar is the first step toward thinking for yourself.
