The Charm of Bangkok

Travel

When I first started traveling abroad, my trips were centered around sightseeing at famous tourist spots and shopping for brand-name goods.

As I traveled more, my goals gradually changed.

My goal was to eat the same food and live the same way as the locals.

There are many countries in Southeast Asia with truly delicious food.

This is my main reason for loving Thailand.

My second reason is because the locals are so kind and the atmosphere is so peaceful.

Bangkok’s economic growth is so rapid, I feel a strong energy that is hard to find in Japan today.

There are many state-of-the-art mega-malls, and I’m overwhelmed by the stylish atmosphere that’s not found in Tokyo.

Bangkok is also home to countless cafes serving stylish and delicious coffee, making it heaven for a coffee lover like me.

In addition to coffee, Thai tea is also very famous. I don’t usually drink black tea, but when I come to Thailand, I often drink it because it’s so delicious.

I also love the street food that is abundant not only in Thailand but throughout Southeast Asia.

In Japan, you rarely see food stalls except during festivals.

Japan has strict rules, so you can’t just casually set up a food stall on the street.

I’m amazed at how rigid the government is.
